DESCRIPTION:Be sure to register to attend the Community Meeting happening on February 29th at the Pitt CEC where doors will open at at 5:30 PM! We’ll give a few quick updates\, but the focus of the meeting will be on a developer presentation for the redevelopment of Francis Street. After this presentation community members and residents can ask questions and then every Hill District resident in attendance will VOTE on the project as a part of the Hill District’s unified voice on community development: the Development Review Panel.

SUMMARY:Black History Month Educational Bus Tour to Washington\, D.C.
DESCRIPTION:Join the Hill CDC as we celebrate Black History Month! The Hill CDC is excited to host a one-day educational bus tour to Washington\, DC. American history cannot be complete without recognizing the accomplishments of Dr. Martin Luther King\, Jr and the Civil Rights Movement. Therefore\, this tour will include a stop at the Martin Luther King Jr Memorial. We will lunch at Sweet Home Cafe before touring at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History and Culture. This opportunity has limited seating\, first come\, first served. Reservations must be made by February 16\, 2024. The fee for this tour is only $55. Fee includes transportation and museum pass. Meals are not included in the price. Reviewing and completing the Travel Guidelines. \nThe Travel Guidelines will be sent via e-mail after registration and must be given to staff prior to getting on the bus. \nRegister at the link below! \nAlso\, start to envision areas of the museum that you would like to visit. The entire museum will take multiple visits to fully take-in and appreciate. Please plan for a four-hour window during this visit.
