  • The DRP conducted an internal review at the February meeting
  • The DRP voted to invite the Development Team for a formal presentation
  • The DRP shared questions and feedback regarding total number of affordable units available

March 2022

  • Bridging the Gap Development formally presented to the DRP
  • The DRP reviewed and found the development project didn’t align with the Greater Hill District Master Plan and requires further review
  • The DRP scored the proposed development project at 60%- E
  • The DRP addresses questions and concerns regarding the development proposal
    • Unit Size
    • The total number of affordable units available
    • The existing parking strategies
    • The lack of community partnership
    • Long term affordability regulation
  • The Development Team will meet with the DRP to bring the project more in alignment with the Greater Hill District Master Plan

April 2022

  • The DRP provided feedback to bring the project more in alignment with the Greater Hill District Master Plan
  • Suggested feedback given by the DRP:
    • There was a lot of concern regarding the lack of affordable housing options
    • Unit sized offerings weren’t balanced enough to include family size households

May 2022

  • Attempts were made to engage the developer to determine how suggested feedback from the DRP would be incorporated in development project
  • There was no communication from the developer

June 2022

  • The DRP determined the project was not in alignment and suggested the developer present both projects separately not to delay the developers process
  • Offered to work with developer to create a more comprehensive development in alignment with the Master Plan
  • Developer declined
  • Therefore the project was not advanced
