Pittsburgh Regional Transit University Line Arts Project

**Special Project Designation**
The DRP deems “special projects” to be projects that are not required to undergo the full two-step DRP process, which typically includes both Committee review and Community Meeting scoring.
These special projects are generally not considered traditional development projects as commonly evaluated under the DRP framework. Rather, they are typically non-development or community enhancement projects, which may include, but are not limited to, greenspaces, public art initiatives, beautification efforts, cultural projects, memorials, and similar community-focused improvements.
Applicants proposing special projects are invited to attend a DRP meeting to provide a briefing and overview of their project to the Committee. Following the presentation, the DRP votes on whether to provide a letter of support for the proposed project.
If supported by the DRP, the presenter is then invited to table at a subsequent community meeting in order to share information about the project with residents and stakeholders in attendance.
