Nia Armstrong is a communications professional with experience in strategic communications, digital media, and community engagement. As the Communications and Programs Coordinator for the Hill Community Development Corporation, she supports the organization’s communications strategy, digital presence, programming, and outreach efforts while helping share the stories, initiatives, and developments shaping Pittsburgh’s Hill District.
Nia previously served as Communications Lead and Lead Case Manager at Foundation of HOPE, where she led communications efforts through newsletters, social media, and digital content while also supporting programming and engagement with youth and families.
Beyond her professional work, Nia earned her Bachelor of Arts in Telecommunications and Media Industries from Penn State University. She is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Communication at Johns Hopkins University, with a concentration in Political Communication. Her academic and professional experiences have shaped her interest in using strategic communication to make information accessible, strengthen connections, and ensure that the stories and perspectives of communities are meaningfully represented.
